The exploding popularity of You Me At Six looks set to burst through to the next level when they release the brand new single ‘Rescue Me’ on February 13th through Virgin Records.

‘Rescue Me’ is a collaboration with Chiddy, one half of genre-breaking label mates Chiddy Bang who hit the charts with their single ‘Opposite of Adults’ which sampled MGMT’s ‘Kids’.

Firm fans of the duo’s mini album ‘The Preview’, You Me At Six saw Chiddy Bang play at London’s King’sCollege in October. Having loved the show, they met up afterwards, immediately clicked with Chiddy and suggested that he could be perfect for a new song that they were working on. The result was ‘Rescue Me’, a track that shows the band’s ability to weave fresh new influences into their sound.

Having just come to the end of a sold-out UK tour that concluded with two headline shows at London’s HMV Hammersmith Apollo, You Me At Six will hit the road in July as guests on an Arena tour with pop-punk legends and their childhood heroes Blink 182.

In addition to the Blink 182 tour, You Me At Six will also play two dates at Edinburgh’s Corn Exchange on Jan 7th and 8th. The Edinburgh shows were originally scheduled as part of their current tour, but their postponement was forced due to the inclement weather and related transport issues. The band will also play Cardiff University Great Hall on Jan 6th and Newcastle Academy on the 9th.

2010 delivered a steady stream of career landmarks in You Me And Six's ascension to the top. Their second album‘Hold Me Down’ debuted at #5 in the charts, in the process highlighting the band’s increasingly sophisticated ability to blend devastating dynamics with immediate pop-fuelled hooks and intense lyrical themes. All the singles that were taken from the album were A Listed at Radio One and ‘Liquid Confidence’ earned the band the coveted 2010 Kerrang Award for ‘Best Single’.
